Less Power to the People

Living in California in these exciting political times has inspired me. The grassroots ability to oust a governor is the essence of democracy. By which I mean a mindless and meaningless collective spasm performed by an unqualified but empowered populous.
I am not a member of the big two parties and no longer feel philosophically aligned with the alternative party I am registered with. Therefore today from this very blog I am announcing the formation of a new alternative party.

The Voter Apathy Party.

The Voter Apathy Party is the voice of the American majority, those who don’t vote. The Voter Apathy Party is also America’s largest political party!

You may be asking, “how can I join the VAP?” Don’t vote. It’s that simple. You don’t need to fill out a form and register, that sort of stuff is against the spirit of the party. Actually, feel free to register as a member of any other political party as long as you never enter a polling place.
The VAP realizes that the world is complex. There are things happening that don’t involve famous basketball players or J. Lo. What are the American people supposed to do, watch C-SPAN? Since that isn’t an option the VAP is asking all uninformed and uninterested citizens to stop affecting the turn out of elections. And definitely stop voting Yes and No on Propositions, what do you know about finances anyway? Leave the political system to the people who want to vote. We are sure that those people are completely informed and capable of making world changing decisions.
If you are willing to better our great nation by joining the VAP contact the party through email, subject line : Voter Apathy. But you don't have to, that would be asking to much.
